So at some point, while I was mentioning that very few of the pairings that are dear to my heart are picked up when I make prompts, somebody suggested wisely that I could write essays about them, because some of them are a bit hard to swallow. This is reasonable. A lot of my favorite pairings tend to be... different. Off-canon, usually. Very much reliant on my own interpretations, which I sometimes have trouble sharing. Essays sound like a good idea.
I want to write a few anyway, but for now, here is a list of the ones that I think are the rarest, or least canonical, either one. So, if anyone here sees one that you'd like to see me try to explain, please feel free to leave a comment and ask. Likewise, if you remember one that I've talked about that I haven't mentioned here, please do the same. In return I'll do my best to write a short essay explaining why I like them together. (I already have one in the works - for a pairing that I've never seen anywhere else - so that'll give you an idea of what I'm talking about.)
