Notes: Written for a prompt on prompt_dump. Nothing new or groundbreaking. I just wanted to write something for the community.

Most of the time Cloud carries the sword like he knows what to do with it. It’s not a sharp blade, most of a giant metal club, and most of the time he remembers that, has the strength to use it properly, knows where to attack to cause the most damage. He knows better than to try to attack anything too swift with a powerful swing; if he did, he’d send it flying.

But sometimes he just stares at it, brow furrowed. And if they didn’t know better, they would’ve sworn that he was just holding it for someone else.
