Dio erected a giant counter at the entrance to the Gold Saucer. Numbers ticked down, seconds and minutes and hours, moving closer to zero.
People still came to the park to play with their families, and always had to walk under the counter to enter. It didn’t faze anyone; why would it when they could look up and see Meteor itself, looming in the sky? If anything it was a reminder of why they were there, where the domes hid the sky.
It couldn’t have been accurate. How could Dio know? But it didn’t matter; it did its job regardless.
