I'm still doing the
Fandom Snowflake Challenge (link goes to the master list) although I did sort of skip over the fourth day; I didn't have the energy to introduce myself to anyone new, although hopefully I will sometime later.
So now I'm looking at today's challenge.
Day 5
In your own space, share something non-fannish you are passionate about with your fannish friends. Leave a comment in this post saying you did it. Include a link to your post if you feel comfortable doing so.
So I'm trying to think of what I want to put here. What are my hobbies, really? I spend a lot of time with fandom, or with writing in general. I spend a lot of time at work. Sometimes I feel like I don't have a lot of room for interests, between these two things.
I do spend a lot of time working on tabletop games, both running them and playing them. Mostly running them; I think you can do a lot more interesting worldbuilding as the GM. I have a lot of neat details that I want to play with in the games that I'm running. I enjoy trying to put things together and to put the things that players come up with into that frame. It's fun for me.
I also want to get back into beadwork. I always have had a weakness for shiny things, I think, and I like being able to make things out of something else. It's something I could start out soon, that I have the materials for, and that I intend to start soon once I have the energy.
I... what else? I think that's about all, right now. If I can think of anything else, I'll edit this later; right now I'm exhausted from work and done for the day.
And because I didn't do it before, here, have Day 6.
Day 6
In your own space, rec at least 3 fanworks you thought you wouldn't like (because they weren't your fandom or they pushed against your boundaries or you thought you just wouldn't be interested) and that you ended up loving.
