wallwalkerHave you ever played this game before? If so, what versions?
I played the PC version when it first came out, but never actually finished it because of technical reasons. Years later, I played the PSX version, and finally finished it.
What version are you playing this time?
The new downloadable PC version, which I downloaded so that I could play the game and attempt to stream it while playing. (I started yesterday, my videos so far are here. I clearly need to deal with the sound quality, though. You can't hear the narration at all, which at this point is mostly Kira the Hippo unhappy that she's working for ecoterrorists, and me screwing up and running down a hallway for twenty minutes, and so forth. We'll get there. :p)
Do you have a fannish history with this game? If so, what?
Yeah, sort of - it's one of the first games that I ever wrote completed fanfiction for. I have been... relatively active in the fandom since I played it the first time? I never really got involved in a lot of the debates (mostly because I ended up liking things that weren't strictly included in them) but I still enjoy writing fic for it.
What are your expectations for this playthrough? (Things you've heard from other fans you want to look for, things you want to prove/disprove, etc.)
I'm attempting to play this through the eyes of someone who's never played it before, so I'm hoping to have some insights on who and what the characters are. I have all of these notions about the game, based on playing the game years ago and on... well, headcanon/fanon. It'll be interesting to see what details I've missed or forgotten.
