I saw this on
cypher's DW, courtesy of
akamine_chan - the Fandom Snowflake challenge - and decided to give it a shot. ^^
*looks at list of almost 200 works just on AO3*
This is a little tough. ;p
Anyway. In no particular order:
All The Little Ironies (15784 words) by
Wallwalker
Fandom: Final Fantasy IX
Rating: Teen And Up Audiences
Warning: Major Character Death
Relationships: Freya Crescent/Sir Fratley, Amarant Coral/Freya Crescent
Characters: Freya Crescent, Sir Fratley, Amarant Coral
Summary:
I honestly don't remember when I originally wrote this! But I think it's one of the better pieces, if only because I'm particularly happy about the worldbuilding I did here, the bits and pieces of society and religion that I made up, and the baby steps that I took into political intrigue and corruption. (Also, it's the longest fic I've written to date that's actually finished, I think.)
Holding On (4356 words) by
Wallwalker
Fandom: Eternal Arcadia | Skies of Arcadia
Rating: Explicit
Warning: No Archive Warnings Apply
Relationships: Vyse/Aika/Fina
Summary:
My favorite triad, and one of the few things I've written inspired by someone else's fic - I think I particularly like this one because it's about people who are in a difficult (perhaps hopeless) situation, but who obviously love each other so much that they refuse to give up. Bittersweet's hard for me to manage, and it was nice to look through my ficlist and see that I've apparently done it before.
Tragic (5421 words) by
Wallwalker
Fandom: Final Fantasy VIII
Rating: Teen And Up Audiences
Warning: No Archive Warnings Apply
Characters: Seifer Almasy, Ultimecia
Summary:
An early attempt at surrealism and at writing something that's difficult for me (a child PoV), and upon reading it again, I'm actually fairly happy with how it turned out! I can't take all of the credit - canon gives lots of opportunities for that sort of thing - but it's one of those cases where I feel like I'm happy I saw a particular opportunity, and I think it worked a lot better than I thought it had even two years ago.
(If you're curious, the song title came from this song.)
...wait, I just noticed the "at least three" bit! I could rec more!
...but I probably won't. *nervous face*

Day 1:
In your own space, post a rec for at least three fanworks that you have created. It can be your favorite fanworks that you've created, or fanworks you feel no one ever saw, or fanworks you say would define you as a creator. Drop a link to your post in the comments.

Summary:
Freya, Fratley, and Amarant: a tragedy in five acts. "Once you're starin' Death in the face, all the little ironies come rushing back at you, and all you can do is laugh 'em off..."

Relationships: Vyse/Aika/Fina
Summary:
Vyse, Aika and Fina have to deal with being stranded after their defeat at Galcian's hands, when capture or death do not come as quickly as they had expected.

Summary:
Seifer meets his sorceress for the very first time, and sees his first Romantic Dream.
