TTD: Best. Fandom. Ever.

I suppose it depends on your definition. Is this asking what the most inspiring source material is, or is it asking which group of fans did I have the most fun with?
If it's the latter... I'm still going to have to say Brigandine. It was small, but we had a fair number of people who were excited and full of ideas and didn't snark about things and were mostly positive about everything. Wank was minimal, and disagreements were generally polite. It's pretty amazing, especially in comparison to modern fandoms. Skies of Arcadia was a close second - it had a few debates (mostly over shipping,) but for the most part everyone I knew was nice to each other, even when they didn't agree, and there was a lot of activity and discussion, and it was a lot of fun.
(I haven't participated in a lot of fandom discussion lately; I mostly just write stuff and post it and then act quiet for a while until I write the next thing. I don't really search for an audience anymore, or try to start conversations. I don't have the energy for it, I guess.)
For the former, I think that most of my energy has gone into Star Ocean 2 overall, if only because the way the story is told makes me really want to dig into character personalities and the underdeveloped parts of the world. Final Fantasy and Valkyrie Profile and Mass Effect are all up there too.
