They have taken her apart over and over again. They cut into her with swords and scalpels, prick her with needles, grow new pieces of her in a dozen disconnected petri dishes in order to try to isolate some strange factor that they are convinced will make them strong.

But there is no isolation. She feels very cell, every tiny cluster of her being. Her consciousness is spread thin now, looking out from the mako-drenched eyes of every SOLDIER, a web that slowly expands to cover the whole of the planet. Give her long enough, and she will be able to infect the life of the planet itself.

They want the strength of her body, but not the gift of her mind, her consciousness. So few of them understand that her legacy will be far greater than a few choice men. She speaks to everyone who holds a piece of her, and only a very few of them have taken the time to listen. The ones that do... they will be strong. They will hold power in the new Lifestream that no others can possibly understand. She will take their consciousness into her own, and they will be honored to be a part of her.

Her rise to power will be inevitable. She will tear this planet apart however she can, and rebuild it in her own image. They can try to kill her, but as long as there is even the smallest fraction of her in existence, she cannot die.

[I think this is the last fic post to this community today; I'm at least caught up with the recent entries. There are still older ones to consider, but that can happen another day.]
