No spoilers:

- The opening views of Midgar's upper plate are really fantastic.

- These game developers have got to learn that not every change in expression has to be accompanied by a sound. There are a lot of scenes where the look of dismay on a character's face would've been enough to express dismay. The grunts and giggles are not always necessary.

- Barret sure did order the Large Ham.

- That said, seeing how he could easily climb and descend ladders with one hand was impressive.

- Also Barret was the best-looking out of the characters, easily. I do wish they'd gone with a different voice though. I can see why others are upset about it.

- Why did Barret keep calling Cloud "Stamp?"

Some spoilers:

- Jessie is adorable. I know there are surely some people out there playing this game who don't know how the story goes and already ship Cloud/Jessie, and they will be sad. I am already sad because I know how that has to end.

- The "I wasn't asking your age!" bit was funny. Cloud and Barret have a good dynamic here and it pleases me.

- I was not expecting to think that they made Heidigger somewhat attractive, but they managed it. It probably helps that they didn't make all of the bigger characters have the same ridiculous spherical body type.

- The final scene, where the bomb goes off, and nothing happens... until Heidigger presses the button. That legitimately shocked me. I am not sure why because it doesn't at all surprise me, the whole idea that they blew up their own reactor to give the people an enemy and thus increase their loyalty to Shinra... they implied as much in the original game. But it's still very different seeing it.
